"
I have been using the Sonotron device now (1997) for approximately the last of 4 or 5 years. I have come to use it in different applications. We have a high basis of sports and athletes (cases) and we have used this both for treatment of acute injuries such as sprains and damaged ligaments as well as utilizing it in the older patient population for arthritic conditions. We have also come to use it in post operative cases now for wound healing as of recent. So as the confidence level with it and my experience with it has gone up, we have come to extend the uses of it.
In general, I find it to be extremely good in certain conditions - a jammed finger from a basket ball game or something like this, is almost an instant cure. It is very good for Trigger Fingers. We are doing a study right now on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and have very good initial success rate in correcting the neuropathy and getting rid of Carpal Tunnel - we have some numbers published on that. Around the hip joint or Arthritis of the hip - it is amazing because this is a big joint that is far away but amazingly work very, very well at the hip. Actually it almost works better at the hip than at the knee which is probably another joint that is extremely successful. It has done some very good things on wound healing - difficult wounds to heal and post operative surgical wounds and other things - foot disorders - Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, Morton’s Neurona - almost instant cure. So, it is really good. As we get more confident, we use it for more and more applications."

"I believe it is beneficial because you are introducing less energy into a system as opposed to diathermy or micro-wave diathermy or ultra-sound which has a deeper heating effect. If you can get the same job done with less energy and in a fraction of the time that other treatments take, then it is a good and beneficial modality. From a common sense point of view, our patients like the treatment. They were impressed with the treatment and it helped them.
I have one patient who continues on the Sonotron every 4 or 5 weeks, and she is employed as a florist and uses her hands all the time and she comes in and gets her treatment dose every few weeks and it keeps her working.
I see a trend from a common sense, practical point of view in private practice with my patients that it’s easy for them to tolerate, it doesn’t take up a lot of their time or work - they can come for a quick treatment and they are back out doing what they are doing and it’s effective."

"Initially, we were mainly concentrating on pain relief. And then, as time goes, we realized that we could also enhance the relief of symptoms like Sinusitis, Running Nose, Upper Respiratory Tract Infection, Irritation of the Throat and Coughing .... and subsequently, we found that it is also good in acute problems like acute sprain or sports injuries, though we do combine with the standard medical treatment. Lately, we realized it also have other uses including the one that came out in UPM about stroke. It is something which is, I think, very encouraging. And another thing we noticed also in dermatological cases where, when we combined with the standard medical treatment, the rate of healing of skin diseases seems to be enhanced.
It is not a magic machine as we would like to think. It is a machine that helps and to relieve problems that have not been solved by current modern medical treatment.
As for myself, I had experienced a lot of cases which have had gone through all sorts of treatment including specialists and standard medical or surgical treatment and did not find any relief and it was relieved by Sonotron."

"In conclusion, what I think most patients would benefit from, is a shorter period of suffering; hospitalization, if at all needed, would be minimized tremendously; beds and money spent in keeping patients in hospitals would be minimized, patients would be more productive to themselves as well as to society and to whatever organizations they are attached to; they won’t be taking sick leave; they won’t be wasting vast resources of the Government hospitals by keeping them as in-patients; they can come and go as out-patients and the patients, very much, once you relieve pain of any disorder, immediately is happy. I think that is the most important thing that Sonotron has been able to deliver to most of my patients. And in that way, in terms of productivity and cost effectiveness from an overall picture, I think Sonotron is something that can be considered in the medical profession."

"99% of my patients are happy with the Sonotron treatment.
Backache problems are the commonest. As far as sports injuries are concerned, I have observed tissue swelling reduced significantly after just one treatment session. In my practice, once they've used the Sonotron, the next time there's pain, automatically they want the Sonotron."
